I'm certainly not against supporting alternate platforms (but thought I heard the Vortex blew their motor on one of their first public showings?)
Really though, to my knowledge there have been no alternative SC's to even consider. (not in any real concrete sense like product, service, support, just waiting to be bought)
One thing's for sure -- one of JR business pratices, such as promising delivery dates of items (and then not delivering, delaying, etc,) would make me have no problem spending hundred of dollars more on a competitor's product if I actually had the choice.
And it's not that I don't like the JR SC, I do...but damn

I hate to burst anyones bubbles here but they did not stop the LS to work on the CRV kit cause OJ wife got a CRV. It is a numbers game honda sells 200000 CRVs a year compare to 30000 tegs. What market do you want to be in?

I don't follow your reasoning. And I was told the story about the wife directly from someone at JR when I firstr was looking into it. If they lied to me, so be it.
The G3 Integra platform has been out since 94. The CR-V did appear till 1997.
They made a kit for the GSR, which is the only VTEC in the lineup (say, 30% of all Integras), and then the TypeR (say, 5% of all Integras). And the LS/GS/RS kit still came out last of all.
Dont know when the CR-V kit came out, the geometry of the B18 and the B20 are pretty similar.
The G3 Integra has a sporty image and demographic, I'd be curious to see how many CR-Vs are running around with JRSCs, seeing as how they appeal primarily to women and people who want the SUV experience without buying a "real" SUV (not that it would go off road anyway but thats another discussion).

Just remeber, Jackson Racing has promised lots of upgrade kits in lots of articles, and none of them (except the miata and the older civic kits) have come out. The Focus and Neon kits will be out for 5 years before JR releases an "official" upgrade kit. I have never had anything but the best of service when I deal with Keith, Shawn, and Oscar. Good tech advice with minimal fuss. Now granted, they do have to worry about the company a little, so you have to take what they say with some salt. I just think that the performance community moves too fast for the cutting-edge manufacturer. And JR is pretty cutting-edge for the Honda world, no one else has a mass-produced, emmissions legal kit shipping.

We if you look at the demograghics for LS/RS buyer they are not really preformance people either. Most of the non vtec buyers are woman also. So if you say that 1% of CRV owners will buy a SC that is 2000 SC sales. Say there was 20000 LS/RS tegs last year and 5% of the owners will buy a SC that is still only a 1000 SC kits per year. You see the math now. It is numbers plain and simple that is why JR put more effort in the CRV SC then the LS/RS. Just look at the number of people here with moded ls/rs car compared to the GSRs.

Javin... and everyone else reading this: PAY CLOSE ATTENTION !!!
Do not give up hope on JR. I can tell you that although it seems that JR has turned their backs on us GSR guys, they have been quietly creating products to help us in our quest for more power for many months now. Now, before you go and ring their phone off the hook... DON'T BOTHER. The parts that I am referring to here are either top secret (and the sales guys don't know about it) or are soooo new that they cannot talk about it yet.
Just know that there is REALLY NEAT SHIT coming soon... be patient. Oscar didn't make this kit overnight, why do you think wild tuning parts would require less time ???

DAMN I LOVE DAT GUY
I didn't not post this to say to the world,"F*CK JR AND F*CK ALL THAT THEY STAND FOR". This was a let off steam about what I see happening in plain view and dealing with on a daily basis post. These great mag articles are becoming more and more numerous as time passes and even if it doesn't happen for 5 years, they are still talking about publicly it aren't they? But it surely pleasures me to hear that JR is working on "Something" for us and what ever it is will be better then nothing, except for some damn upgrade kit that isn't near to being complete as we all know what is "really" needed. But one thing I do worry about is, Will it still help us after we have figured it out on our own? Granted, I bet there are alot of nea sayers and other JRSC owners who don't know about our little camp here and don't even plan on upgrading but "WE" are doing the "Cutting edge" foot work here, at least it seems that way. If it weren't for JRCivic and people like Larry over at Endyne who knows what we would be doing right now, I doubt that I would have wondered this far into the waters w/ out them. THANKS
It is def. nice to see that even if someone (we won't name any names
) says they hate JR, that they still will fight to the teeth in a Turbo/SC battle and still claim JR as the savior of "OUR" cars
and that kind of following doesn't come along too often, I mean look at Ford and the Pinto. When people saw what was happening with those things (dead people vs blown motors or snail paced developement) they were like,"F*CK Ford for making this peice of sh*t, I'll never buy another". I enjoy contributing to the "Healthy and Constructive" critizim (WTF! how the hell do you spell that?) of JR. HELL, I am sure somebody is watching

Reddelsol,
I agree there are currently no other production SC kits out there for us, however there are other companies trying to develop them. As for Vortex blowing an engine, so what? How many engines have been blown by a turbo and people keep buying them? I believe I have read of at least six people blowing their engines with the JR kit and no not all of them modified it. Remember most of the guys on this forum say the kit is not a plug and play it still needs some tuning to perform its best. Besides I am glad Vortex blew up there engine (Fuel problem by the way, ran lean I believe. Charger worked just fine.) that gave them a chance to experience first hand what one of their potential customers may encounter and provides the oppurtunity to get the kit right before selling it, unlike what another SC kit manufacturer did. I recommend e-mailing Vortex, Paxton, Scanpower and any other SC producer and campaigning for a kit. It is what I do.

Redline,
AS The LS Avenger said I too recieved my info of the CR-V kit versus LS kit from a JR employee. It was not a numbers thing. Are you just speculating or is that some inside info that the employees were unawre of? Now, I am not anti-JR, but like others here I do not like some of the things the Company (and/or whomever is running it) does. And yes, some of my problem is resentment towards the fact that I feel shafted as a potenial customer by the length of time it took them to develop the kit for my car and the fact they used a smaller charger. I have an e-mail which gives the reason for the smaller charger as a fitment problem, Quote "We could not get the M62 charger to fit on the car. We ground through the case on a 62 trying to get it too fit." Later as people begin to complain about it, I read somewhere that JR said it was a problem with the engine not spinning the charger fast enough at lower RPMs and caused bogging or some other bull. All the while I remember the very first article I read in SCCR about a JR kit. It was on a Delsol. In the article Jr mentioned that the kits he developed for the non-vtec civic engine made as more power than the vtec kit and ran smoother because it did not have a vtec switch point to contend with. He also mentioned their plans to develop the Integra kits and how he was expecting the same results. My question to you, what happened there?
I am grateful to the people at JR for devloping the kits that they have, but I am not happy with their attitude of "We are the only game around, play our way or don't play"

As soon as I can get my hands on a digital camera you'll see a M62 attached to a B18b, in the engine bay of an LS.
Until then, you can judge for yourself whether a M62 can fit by looking at one here:
http://www.theoldone.com/articles/conversion/2.htm
Its on a engine stand but you get the idea.
